The math behind it
Calories per minute = MET × 3.5 × body weight (kg) ÷ 200. Multiply by the duration. MET = how many times harder than resting an activity is.
Worked example
Running (MET 9.8), 70 kg, 30 min → 9.8 × 3.5 × 70 ÷ 200 × 30 = 360 kcal.
