Find sine, cosine and tangent of an angle.

sin 0.5
cos 0.866
tan 0.5774

Formula: convert degrees to radians, then sin/cos/tan

Step-by-step with your numbers:
1. Values used:
2. Angle = 30 degrees
3.
4. sin = 0.5

The three basic trig ratios for any angle.

The math behind it

Angles are converted to radians (× π/180) before applying sin, cos and tan.

Worked example

30° → sin 0.5, cos 0.866, tan 0.577.

FAQ

Why does tan blow up at 90°?

cos(90°) = 0, and tan = sin ÷ cos, so it's undefined there.
