How the Math Works
The Calendar Calculator determines the number of days in any given month by applying the rules of the Gregorian calendar system. Months have either 28, 29, 30, or 31 days based on their position and whether the current year is a leap year. February is the only month whose length varies: it has 28 days in standard years and 29 days in leap years. All other months follow fixed patterns: April, June, September, and November have 30 days; January, March, May, July, August, October, and December have 31 days.
